Six operational steps

From visible post to human decision.

Lurker narrows the scanning task. It does not replace the operator, the Facebook session, or the judgment required to join a local conversation well.

1

Create a workspace and install the extension

Start in the Lurker app, then add the published extension from the canonical Chrome Web Store listing and sign in.

2

Configure what counts

Set positive and negative keywords, save watched groups, and select an available keyword-only or company-aware mode.

3

Open the supported Facebook tabs

You choose the group, notification, or post pages available in Chrome. Lurker does not log in for you or join groups.

4

Observe eligible visible content

The extension evaluates eligible content visible on supported user-opened pages. Qualifying observations can be sent to AJAI for the Lurker review workflow.

5

Review the opportunity inbox

Inspect the source context, relevance score or keyword match, match reason, service fit, and any enabled draft or approved-media suggestion.

6

Choose the next step

Open Facebook, edit or copy available draft text, use approved media manually, ignore the item, or mark it handled. Lurker does not publish the response.

The review surface

See the signal before composing the reply.

The detail view makes the matching context visible so an operator can reject weak fits quickly and spend attention where it may matter.

  • Visible source post and group context
  • Keyword or AI-assisted match explanation where enabled
  • Configured service and next-step link
  • Manual ignore and handled decisions

Required conditions

What implementation requires

  • Google Chrome on a computer
  • A Lurker account and authenticated extension session
  • Supported Facebook tabs opened by the operator
  • Configured keywords, groups, or available company context
  • A person assigned to review opportunities
Ongoing maintenance

What the operator monitors

  • Watcher status and extension version
  • Whether Chrome and required tabs remain available
  • Keyword quality and watched-group selection
  • Usage limits in the authenticated app
  • Facebook layout changes and missed-opportunity diagnostics
Review assistance, not guaranteed coverage

Chrome can suspend background work, tabs can close or become stale, Facebook can change page behavior, and the product is still maturing. Check watcher health instead of assuming every relevant post will be captured.
