Current native iPhone tutorial

Prepare a reply with an approved image.

This flow was confirmed on a physical iPhone using internal TestFlight build 1.0 (9) on September 3, 2026. It is not the web app or Chrome extension flow.

Open the opportunity and review the original Facebook post.
Generate the AI reply or edit the existing draft until it says exactly what you want.
Review Suggested images and choose a relevant approved company asset.
Tap Prepare reply & open Facebook.
The first time, allow Lurker to add photos. This is add-only permission; Lurker cannot read your library.

Finish in Facebook

Paste the text and attach the saved photo.

After a successful preparation, Lurker saves the selected image to Photos, copies your exact edited reply, and opens the original Facebook post.
Paste the reply into the Facebook comment field.
Use Facebook’s photo button to select the newly saved image and attach it to the same comment draft.
Review the full comment and group rules, then decide whether to post it.

The last step always belongs to you.

Lurker does not automatically attach the photo or post the comment. Facebook must support photo comments on that post or in that group. You do not need to return to Lurker between the text and image steps.

Other controls

Keep text-only and image-only handoffs separate.

Copy reply & open Facebook copies the edited reply and opens the post. It is text-only.
Copy image & open Facebook copies actual image bytes, replaces clipboard text, and opens the post. It needs no Photos permission.
Facebook decides whether image paste works. Direct image paste is not universally supported, so Prepare reply is the preferred text-and-photo workflow.

Your edited reply remains in Lurker when you return.

Troubleshooting

Protect the work you already prepared.

If an image download, conversion, or Photos save fails, Lurker leaves your clipboard unchanged and does not open Facebook.
If you denied Photos access, allow Lurker to add photos in iPhone Settings or use another control.
If suggestions are empty, the opportunity may not match an approved company asset. Suggestions are tag/service matched; the AI reply generator does not independently choose the image.
If Facebook has no photo button, that post or group may not support photo comments. Use text only where appropriate.
Each successful Prepare tap saves another copy to Photos, so repeat only if needed.
