Open Lurker settings →This workflow was confirmed on a physical iPhone on September 3, 2026, using the internal TestFlight build 1.0 (9). These are native iPhone instructions, not the web app or Chrome extension controls. Monitoring still relies on Chrome and the supported Facebook tabs on your computer.
Lurker never automatically attaches an image or posts a comment. Photo comments must be supported on that Facebook post or in that group. Your edited reply is retained when you return to Lurker.
Suggestions use tag and service matching against approved company image-library assets; the AI reply generator does not independently choose an image for you. Some opportunities have no matching images. A text-only reply is still available.
Open iPhone Settings, find Lurker’s Photos permission, and allow it to add photos. Return to the opportunity and try Prepare reply again. Lurker needs add-only access, not photo-library read access. If you prefer not to allow it, use the text-only control or Copy image; direct image paste still depends on Facebook.
Lurker leaves your clipboard unchanged and does not open Facebook when a download or Photos save fails. Check your connection, read the error, and retry or refresh images. Your edited reply is retained. Copy image can avoid a Photos-permission problem, but still needs a successful image download.
No match does not mean your reply failed: not every opportunity matches an approved company image. Check that the relevant library image is approved and has useful tags and service context. If Lurker says suggestions could not load, use Refresh images. You can still use Copy reply & open Facebook for a text-only response.
Direct image-paste acceptance is controlled by Facebook. Prefer Prepare reply, paste the text, and use Facebook’s photo button to attach the saved image to the same comment draft. If the post or group does not support photo comments, these controls cannot enable them; respond with text only where appropriate.
Copy image replaces clipboard text with the image. Your edited reply remains in Lurker. For text and a photo together, use Prepare reply so the image goes to Photos and the text stays on the clipboard until you paste it.
If saving and copying succeeded but Facebook did not open, follow Lurker’s message and open the original post manually; paste the reply and attach the saved photo. Repeating Prepare reply after a successful save creates another copy in Photos. If Lurker reports an invalid or missing post link before preparing, nothing is copied or saved.
Most watcher issues can be narrowed down without sharing Facebook content or private account details.
Confirm Chrome and the computer are awake, the Facebook tab is still open, and the current extension is active. Use the extension's recovery guidance or restart the watch.
Open Facebook notifications yourself, confirm the tab URL is supported, and check whether the watched-group-only filter excludes the item.
Review positive and negative keywords, narrow broad terms, verify group selection, and consider whether an available company-aware mode fits the workflow.
Check watcher health and supported page conditions first. Then review available diagnostics and tune settings. Lurker does not guarantee complete coverage.
Email support@getlurker.com for installation, watcher, iPhone reply, account, plan, or billing help. Include the app version and build or extension version, the step that failed, and any non-sensitive error text. For iPhone photo issues, say whether saving to Photos worked and whether Facebook offered a photo button.
